THE RAID

1 ruthless crime lord. 20 elite cops. 30 floors of chaos.

Director:

Actors:  and others

Genre: Action, Thriller

Duration: 101 minutes

Plot: a S.W.A.T. team becomes trapped in a tenement run by a ruthless mobster and his army of killers and thugs (written by IMDb editors).

Analysis: there aren't many things to say when coming to a thorough analysis of the movie The Raid apart from congratulating its choreographer for his marvelous work. Also, there is no need to evaluate the scenario, the direction or the performances. After all, this film was created having one sole purpose: to present the most intense, the most realistic and the most stunning physical action fight scenes in the history of cinematography to the worldwide audience. Did it succeed? I would honestly say yes, since the only other movie i could think of being able to efficiently keep up with The Raid's psycical action fight scenes is perhaps its sequel, The Raid 2: Berandal.

Things to notice:
  • the fight scenes,
  • the fight scenes and
  • the fight scenes.

Oscar awards (2012): - (who the f... cares!)

Personal Evaluation: 7.7/10 (10/10 if Taken is your favorite game)

Should be watched tonight if: you are chilling with your (male) friends and craving to find out what being an ultra-cool badass really means.
