Analysis: based on the 1964's series, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is the american answer to the famous british spy James Bond. Set back to the days of the Cold War, the movie succeeds in capturing and picturing in an easy-going way the tense climate between the secret services of U.S.A. and Soviet Union. Cavill (the CIA agent) and Hammer (the KGB operative) are both marvelous in their roles especially Cavill, who manages to land an irresistable charming performance. What's more, the film balances with elegance between action and comedy, oftenly enchanting its scenes with both these two elements simultaneously. The scenario is solid and the sceneries quite colorful. The final result is a liveable representation of the 1960s atmosphere, all thanks to Guy Ritchie's who, from the moment he split up with his ex-wife Madonna, is back on the right tracks brightful direction.
Summing up, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. may not blow you away, but it will surely offer you two pleasant hours, full with plenty doses of laughs, enjoyment and adrenaline.

Things to notice:
  • the great on-screen chemistry of the staring duet (Cavill and Hammer),
  • the succesful marriage of the action scenes and the comedy interludes and
  • the remarkable depiction of the 1960s atmosphere.
